Accommtec partners with major cruise lines including AIDA Cruises
Accommtec’s Sales Director, Kevin Brady, will be on hand at Marine Interiors, alongside Solutions Manager, John Shaw, both highly experienced hospitality sector players. Commenting on recent cruise line successes, Brady said: “We have been working closely with several major cruise brands on both new build and refurbished ships. As with today’s tech-savvy hotel guest, the discerning cruise passenger has an expectation of exceptional comfort and style, which extends to their in-cabin entertainment system and digital communications on board their cruise. Accommtec provides a variety of technology solutions that integrate seamlessly with the cruise line’s own systems to ensure a premium, convenient experience.”
With its casual and premium-quality cruise concept, AIDA Cruises established a new chapter in the history of cruising in 1996. Today, AIDA Cruises is the market leader in the German-speaking cruise market. AIDA Cruises is the epitome of a premium-quality, relaxing cruise – its guests live and love the unique AIDA Cruises feeling. Accommtec has equipped 5 AIDA ships to date, a total of around 9,500 passenger and crew cabins, with in-cabin infotainment TV interfaces powered by ArtioGuest.
Commenting on the partnership with Accommtec, Chris van Hoven, Senior Product Owner at AIDA Cruises, said: “AIDA has an aggressive schedule of both refurbishments and new builds, upgrading our fleet of 7 cruise ships by the end of 2020. In an industry where there is an extremely wide choice available for customers, we are always looking for new ways to improve the passenger experience and maintain our position as the number one choice for German-speaking cruises. This includes the requirement to provide cutting-edge technology that gives our guests seamless in-cabin access to entertainment and onboard services, as well as enabling us to justify our investments with clear evidence of cost savings, operational efficiencies and generating additional revenue. Accommtec has proven to be a committed and supportive partner, and the Exterity technology at the heart of our cruise entertainment solutions enables us to meet our very specific requirements.”
