Bitmovin appoints Platform as global communications agency

London, 24 January 2018 – Bitmovin, a world leader in online video technology, has appointed media and entertainment specialist Platform Communications as its global agency.

Bitmovin provides software that enables TV streaming providers and media publishers to deliver high-quality video over the internet with a minimum of bandwidth. Customers include the New York Times, Sling TV, Periscope by Twitter, fuboTV and Red Bull Media House. Bitmovin’s founders helped to pioneer the MPEG-DASH video standard that’s used by Netflix and YouTube amongst many others.

Platform Communications will deliver a campaign including content creation, media relations, event support and analyst/influencer relations. The programme will cover the US, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

The appointment follows a competitive pitch process. The team will be led by Director David Lawrence.
