Exterity continues Middle Eastern growth with new hires and office expansion

Edinburgh / Dubai – 18 August 2019Exterity, a leading provider of IP video, digital signage and guest experience technologies, today announced two key hires in the Middle East, driven by continued business growth in the region. Following the promotions of Eleuterio Fernandes to Vice President of Sales EMEA and Walid Tabet to Regional Sales Team Leader in 2018, Exterity has recruited Zaher Ajeeb, KSA Sales Manager and Victor Hasan, Regional Sales Manager – Hospitality, to support customers on the ground.

The two new members of staff, reporting into Walid Tabet, Regional Sales Team Leader, are:

  • Zaher Ajeeb, KSA Sales Manager: Based in Riyadh, Zaher brings extensive local market and industry knowledge to Exterity and will support the company’s expanding hospitality and corporate business across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. With a degree in Finance, Zaher is a customer-focused sales professional, having gained 13 years of solid experience in both proAV and retail sales. His particular expertise in solution sales, with products ranging from CCTV, fire alarms and security, to Audio Visual integrated solutions, telepresence, IPTV and digital signage systems, has helped him to build strong connections with wide range of vendors within the industry, enabling him to design, discuss and specify suitable solutions to meet his customers’ particular requirements.

 

  • Victor Hasan, Regional Sales Manager, Hospitality: Victor has joined Exterity’s Dubai team as a Regional Sales Manager, focused on the hospitality sector, bringing 17 years of solid experience in video technology and a huge market knowledge. Victor has worked in the UK with companies including BSksyB and Virgin Media and, over the past 5 years, Victor has worked in the Middle East region for CMT/MVI as Sales & Marketing Director in a number of IPTV /OTT  fields including telecom, hospitality, broadcast and satellite industries. Having been involved in large projects across MENA, he has extensive experience in IPTV, OTT, VoD and digital signage, and is an expert in the hospitality and telecom IPTV space. Victor has worked with an impressive customer list, including Etisalat, Du, IHG, Fairmont, Mövenpick, Dubai Media, Skynews Arabia and many more across the MENA region. A British national, Victor has an MBA in Strategic Management and Marketing from Birmingham City University.

Exterity has also been steadily building its technical team supporting customers on the ground both pre and post sales, with the addition of Omar Abdel-Halim, Solutions Consultant, based in Saudi Arabia and Shrinil Kudalkar, Solutions Analyst in the UAE, to the technical solutions team managed by Laurent Genari-Conti. This expanding team, along with the larger sales team, led by Walid Tabet, Regional Sales Team Leader, prompted a recent move by Exterity into larger premises within the same building at Dubai Internet City.

Originally focused mainly in the oil and gas sector, Exterity has expanded into two of the Middle East’s most important industries, corporate & finance and hospitality.
