Exterity Deploys Integrated IP Video and Digital Signage System At All High Schools In Illinois Township School District 214
Atlanta, October 12, 2016 – Exterity, a leading provider of IP video and digital signage technologies today announced that it has partnered with award-winning High School District 214, the second largest high school district in Illinois, to deploy an integrated IP video and digital signage system.
The installation enhances the existing communication infrastructure across the District’s six high schools and one specialized learning program enabling over 12,000 students and staff to:
- Access 12 tailored cable TV channels – with each school having a local channel of their choice – delivered to all connected screens around each school;
- Watch morning announcements in every classroom;
- Read informative and educative content displayed on digital signage screens in hallways and common areas; and,
- Watch live school sporting events across campus
- Watch live Professional Learning activities
The Exterity system also enables the School District’s headquarters to efficiently manage the distribution of all video and cable TV content across each high school campus from one central location.
“Today’s students expect to be able to access digital media technology at all times, and school districts can benefit from this by enhancing their curriculums with video-based learning, which really resonates with students,” commented Exterity CEO Colin Farquhar. “As a recognized leader for IP video and digital signage technology, Exterity is proud to be working with District 214 to further progress its educational offering.”
The deployment has been executed at Buffalo Grove High School, Elk Grove High School, The Academy at Forest View, John Hersey High School, Prospect High School, Rolling Meadows High School and Wheeling High School. Exterity’s IP video and digital signage systems are deployed through its extensive reseller network, including leading AV integrator, AVI-SPL North America, that worked with Exterity on the District 2014 installation.
The District 214 IP video and digital signage deployment will be showcased by Exterity at Teaming for Transformation hosted by The Consortium for School Networking (CoSN) from October 19 – 21, 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Chicago O’Hare Hotel & Conference Center.
