The partnership is complemented by the opening of a new office in Hong Kong, providing regional organizations with secure end-to-end Enterprise IPTV systems
Hong Kong, 2nd April 2014 – Exterity (InfoComm China stand EA5-01, Hall E), the leading provider of enterprise IPTV technologies for the secure distribution of live, on-demand and recorded video over IP, today announced that AsiaVoila is to distribute its fully secure end-to-end Enterprise IPTV product portfolio in South East Asia. AsiaVoila will provide Exterity with in-depth knowledge of the region, enabling organizations in China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia to adopt robust and flexible enterprise IPTV systems. The Exterity product portfolio will be demonstrated at InfoComm China 2014 (9-11 April, Beijing), including support for HDCPv2 security throughout its hardware product suite.
Exterity systems are already used by many organizations in a wide variety of markets across the globe; Exterity will leverage AsiaVoila’s regional expertise in order to increase its presence in the region, and has also opened a new office in Hong Kong, allowing the company to establish a broader scope in the area.
As the only vendor offering a fully HDCPv2 compliant video over IP product portfolio, Exterity provides system integrators, pro-AV installers and consultants designing and specifying networked video solutions, with the peace of mind that their end users are adhering to the anti-piracy and digital content protection requirements of the content industry.
The demos at InfoComm China 2014 will feature a range of product releases and new hardware covering the entire enterprise IPTV chain:
- Artio: the new version of the IPTV portal includes SecureMedia registration made available through a desktop plugin for PC and MAC, further enhancing security levels through support for digital content protection.
- Advanced Encoder firmware: the firmware release to Encoders makes them HDCPv2 compliant. Additionally the new firmware includes an IR out feature, which enables source devices, such as STBs, to be controlled through Exterity products on the network, including Receivers and Encoders.
- Improved Receiver firmware: the r9200, r9210 products’ firmware now supports HDCPv2 providing secure end-point content delivery. This new integration comes in addition to advanced functionality such as an improved web-based administration interface, seamless unit to unit sync for organizations with multiple end points that demand immediate and consistent viewing, video wall capability and enhanced Consumer Electronics Control (CEC) functionality for enhanced remote control of content.
- New TVgateways: Exterity TVgateways ingest content from any broadcast source, cable satellite, terrestrial and can include CAM Slots (for Conditional Access encryption integration) to securely stream live TV and radio directly across an IP network without decoding and re-encoding of the content. These solutions supply multiple channels at any resolution from a single blade, reducing cost and power consumption per channel as well as server room rack space requirements.
“South East Asia is a fast-paced region with a bustling enterprise IPTV market,” said Colin Farquhar, CEO, Exterity. “The potential in the Asian markets require businesses have a local presence as well as a partnership with a local distributor. This led us to join forces with AsiaVoila and leverage their particular skill set and deep-rooted regional expertise. We have complemented this partnership by opening a new office in one of the main hubs in the region and are sure that this new collaboration will enable us to forge a closer bond with our customers in APAC.”
