Exterity Showcases Next Generation TVgateways at ANGA COM 2015
The enhanced AvediaStream TVgateways increase streaming capacity and security options for organisations streaming live broadcast TV content across their networks
Edinburgh, 8th June 2015 – Exterity (ANGA COM stand 10.1 / V21), the leading provider of enterprise IP video technologies for the secure distribution of live, on-demand and recorded video over IP, today announced that it will showcase the latest generation of its AvediaStream TVgateways at ANGA COM (Cologne, 9-11 June 2015). These new products significantly increase the streaming capacity of the TVgateway and offer integrated content protection to secure the distribution of broadcaster content across an organistion’s network.
ANGA COM will see Exterity demonstrate the new AvediaStream TVgateways, aimed at organisations, which incorporate local, national and international television channels into their enterprise IP video systems. The new TVgateways are ideally suited for the Corporate & Finance, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality & Leisure, Media & Broadcast, Military & Government, Oil & Gas, Transport and Venues & Stadia markets.
Exterity has designed the AvediaStream TVgateways to ingest broadcast streams from eight multiplexes via eight tuners in one blade. With four times the capacity of previous products, the new TVgateways significantly reduce rack space requirements in server rooms and power consumption per channel to make them a compelling high performance solution for professional live broadcast content acquisition. The AvediaStream TVgateways support Ethernet redundancy when installed in an AvediaStream c1210 Chassis, which provides dual Ethernet ports per AvediaStream blade.. Exterity TVgateways also offer the option of integrated content protection to meet the secure IP video distribution requirements of broadcaster business TV services.
“As video becomes increasingly important for the modern day enterprise, more and more companies are utilising their existing IP network to distribute high quality TV and video throughout their organisation, “says Exterity CEO Colin Farquhar.
“We have launched our latest generation of TVgateway blades this year to provide organisations with the most advanced and integrated solution for streaming live broadcast TV content over their IP network. For organisations requiring the highest levels of content availability, there is now also an option for Ethernet redundancy when the blades are installed in Exterity’s AvediaStream c1210 Chassis.”
The new AvediaStream TVgateways can be combined with Exterity’s recently announced AvediaStream transcoder and Origin server, and the latest release of Artio middleware, to enhance the content available to an organisation’s “Beyond the LAN” solution.
ANGA COM takes place on 9th – 11th June, 2015 in Cologne, Germany.
