Grass Valley showcases combined portfolio at BroadcastAsia 2018

MONTREAL, June 12, 2018 – At BroadcastAsia 2018, Grass Valley, a Belden Brand (Booth 4R2-01), will demonstrate its industry leading solutions and how the newly combined portfolio with Snell Advanced Media (SAM) is enabling broadcasters, news organizations, rights holders and media service providers to meet the challenges of creating, managing and delivering compelling and immersive content in a rapidly changing media landscape.

As consumers increasingly curate their content from a range of sources, from online to social media, broadcasters are under pressure to respond. Consumers also want access to more and better quality content, and all this must be delivered on ever-tighter budgets. Infrastructures and workflows now need to be agile and flexible to meet current and future needs.

Attendees of BroadcastAsia 2018, which takes place 26th – 28th June at the Suntec Singapore, will see first-hand how Grass Valley’s portfolio is driving the innovations that allow customers to meet these challenges head-on. The company will highlight solutions from a range of key application areas including IP infrastructure, cloud and virtualized playout, and advanced workflow solutions.

Somu Patil, vice president sales Asia, Grass Valley, commented, “Following Belden’s acquisition of SAM, Grass Valley now offers the most comprehensive portfolio of solutions on the market. At BroadcastAsia 2018, we will show how the integration of the two portfolios is driving real innovation and enabling our customers to build agile, future proof infrastructures and workflows with zero compromise on their ability to create and deliver the best content to more viewers.”

The cloud architecture of iTX Flex provides faster service launches, more agile business models and a lower total cost of ownership.

Also on display will be Grass Valley’s production switchers that provide the flexibility to work with a variety of content formats, including 4K UHD. Visitors will see business-transforming switcher solutions that suit a wide range of requirements, from the industry’s largest IP I/O footprint video production engine, GV K-Frame X, to the Kahuna 6400, live production switcher which delivers outstanding format versatility, and the compact GV Korona K-Frame V-series for flexible 12G-SDI connectivity.
