NEW YORK, NY, July 14, 2015 – Piksel, today announces the appointment of Jared Timmins as Senior Vice President Commercial, Americas. Jared will work closely with leading media and entertainment clients in North America who are focused on building online audiences for digital video content.
Supporting Chief Commercial Officer Kevin Joyce and recently appointed Executive Vice President Commercial Jay Gravina, Jared’s hire reflects both Piksel’s growing presence and the acceleration of over-the-top (OTT) businesses being launched in the region.
Drawing on over ten years of media technology experience, Jared’s technical background, problem solving skills, and deep business acumen will strengthen Piksel’s existing network of technical experts and industry strategists, helping clients to liberate their online video content.
Forecasts that global OTT TV and video revenues will reach $51.1 billion by 2020 (Digital TV Research) demonstrate the potential for broadcast and media companies to harness new revenue streams and the urgency with which companies will review the role of traditional broadcasting while revaluating new distribution options. In his new role, Jared will help clients diversify their services to retain a competitive advantage.
