DUBLIN & LOS ANGELES – November 5, 2015 – The QYOU, the world’s first international 24/7 subscription service of curated, high-quality, internet video content, announces that it has brought Glenn Ginsburg on board to advance content partnerships with creators, Multi-Channel Networks (MCNs) and brands. Ginsburg joins as Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships to ensure that The QYOU features the best of the web in its programming line-up, and to add to its strong roster of existing MCN partnerships with Fullscreen, Collective Digital, X-Treme Video, Scalelab, Jukin and Diagonal View.
According to Ampere Analysis, the top 100 MCNs are generating 42 percent of the total views on YouTube, with these networks notching up 100 billion views per month. MCNs are increasingly the gatekeepers to the world’s best-loved content, making sure that innovative video creations get the recognition they deserve. With Ginsburg’s appointment, The QYOU will be able to increase its content partnerships and guarantee that its viewers have access to the most popular and entertaining short-form material, both on linear TV and VOD.
“There couldn’t be a more exciting time for content creators than now,” says Ginsburg. “With new and emerging distribution platforms reaching global audiences at scale, and the availability of tools that empower creators to produce premium content at a fraction of the cost of traditional production, we’re entering an unparalleled creative renaissance. I’m thrilled to be joining The QYOU and excited to strengthen our ties with creators, MCNs and brands so that we can continue to bubble up the best of online video to audiences around the world.
Ginsburg has an extensive background specialising in digital, social and convergent media and branded entertainment. He has initiated, built and managed digital-focused businesses for media companies including Walt Disney Company, MTV Networks, USA Networks and Marvel Entertainment. His most recent role was as Principal at Alliance Content Marketing, working with top-tier brands to help them harness the power of YouTube influencers and develop viral PR campaigns that generate buzz online.
In addition to leading content acquisition activities and forging new content partnerships for The QYOU, Glenn will spearhead influencer marketing opportunities – an increasingly fertile ground for brands wishing to work with online video creators to reach specific audiences.
Scott Ehrlich, The QYOU Co-Founder and CEO, commented: “Our business is all about finding and packaging ‘must-see’ made-for-web video for the premium subscription market. With Glenn’s appointment, we’re better positioned than ever to deepen our content partnerships, strengthen our library of licensed content, and help creators by bringing their work to new audiences worldwide.”
Ginsburg’s appointment follows news that The QYOU has made three key commercial hires to expand operations globally. Amory Schwartz, Bob Reid and Natasha Roberton’s positions will complement Ginsburg’s role by growing The QYOU’s distribution footprint in mature and emerging markets.
